Injured Casemiro Back in Training
Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, may or may not be ready to make his return to the pitch sooner rather than later.
In October, Casemiro sustained an ankle injury while on international duty with Brazil. He returned to play with the Red Devils against Newcastle on 1 November, only to suffer a hamstring injury that saw him taken off at half-time.
Now, ahead of United’s UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich tonight (Tuesday 12 December), the 31-year-old is back in training.
“Casemiro has started training on the pitch, as the Brazilian steps up his recovery for Manchester United,” a recent post on the English club’s official website confirmed.
“On Sunday [10 December], the midfielder was spotted training alone on the grass at Carrington, while his team-mates took part in a recovery session.”
Per reports, Casemiro could potentially be seen in action in tonight’s game against Bayern at Old Trafford in Manchester, England. However, manager Erik ten Hag previously stated that he might only return some time after Christmas.
Guess we’ll have to tune in to tonight’s game to find out!
